Annette has over 15 years experience in congress and association management. Training under the Vancouver Congress legend, Betty Fata of Venue West Conference Services, she climbed the ranks to Senior Project Manager, before leading the company as President of Venue West.

In order to expand her knowledge of Association Management, Annette joined Malachite Management in 2005 as Executive Director of two not-for-profit medical associations (Canadian Blood and Marrow Transplant Group and the Canadian Association of Nurses in Oncology), as well as holding the position of Business Development Manager. Due to her comprehensive knowledge of congress management, Annette also oversaw and managed international congresses, such as the 37th Congress of the International Society of Paediatric Oncology, Annual Canadian Association of Nurses in Oncology and the 14th International Congress of Cancer Nursing.

Annette's professional expertise in international and regional events include sponsorship generation, sales, business development, international bid preparation and congress management. Her experience as an Executive Director for non-profit medical associations has given her an insight into what drives associations to host congresses.

Annette is Simply Eventful Management's voting member for Tourism Vancouver, the Vancouver Board of Trade and the Green Meetings Industry Council.
